Hi All,
I’m replacing the harmonic balancer on my Fox n having issues removing it. How can I remove it? As you can see some of it already fell off. I posted a picture of the new one.

Thanks for your help again!!!

You need a puller.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Professional...le-Mitsubishi/dp/B08FD1FQSC/ref=sr_1_5?sr=8-5

You local parts store may have one for loan, rent, and/or sale.

While you're looking for tools... Do you happen to know what the torque value is for the new balancer?

70-90 ft/lbs comes to mind but needs to be verified.

I rented one from O’Reilly. The middle bolt is tight as hell n can’t take it off. The crank turns as I try to take the bolt off. I used a pipe wrench to try to grab it but that didn’t work. I was avoiding to take the radiator off but looks like that’s going to be the option. Can I use an impact gun to remove the enter bolt? I have one from Harbor Freight that has forward n Reverse only.

Just tried but the impact wrench is too long to fit. The transmission coil is in the way now.

You can do the ol' socket with a long breaker bar against the frame then bump the starter. Did this ALOT back on the day when I didn't have power tools.

Pick a spark plug that is easily accessible, shove some rope inside the cylinder, don't need a lot, turn the engine by hand till it stops, use a breaker bar to loosen the nut.
Is this a stick stang ? Just put it in high gear, chock the tires.

I did that once when I was very young, I'm still traumatised by that incident

Get your neighbor drunk and when he passes out roll him under a wheel like a chock.

You can't do that, it's not an emergency
