Hello all, I have a 1992 lx with the following mods, bbk equal length headers, pullies, king cobra clutch, H pipe, and american thunder 2 chamber cat back system. Heres what happens, the car pulls hard but when I power shift from first gear to 2 nd gear the motor bogs and then starts accelerating the tires don't even chirp. From 1st I am shifting at about 5500rpms, the car has 90k miles on it and it runs really well but for some reason any time I power shift into second the motor temporarily loses power for about a second. Does anyone Know what the problem could be?

Hmm..
My buddies 86 GT just had a similar problem and we tried wires, cap, rotor, plugs, coil, and ran it through all the tests on my Sunpro scantool to check for sensors... NOTHING.
At first it was like your car, he could wail it in first, and then grab 2 and it would lay down and just not go... Bog got progressively worse, to the point where you would nail it in 1st and it would just bog... so we hooked up a fuel pressure guage and whammo! Only 25 PSI with the vac line removed 
Stock pump was pooping out.
Installed a new pump, now has 38 PSI, and she screams again.
