Hello I have an e brake handle that’s not pulling the cable. Not sure what needs to be done to fix this. The spring is still hooked up and it looks like the gear mechanism isn’t in the right spot or rotated enough in the right spot. I’ll post pics so you can see what I mean. Thanks for any help in advance.

The pawl isn't engaged to the teeth. The only way for that to happen is there is way too much slack in the cable system. One of your cables probably snapped. Can you get under the car and visually inspect the equalizer and see if one side is tilted forward which would suggest one of the rear cables snapped inside it's sheathing?

When properly engaged, the parking brake teeth and pawl should look something like this

I looked at the parking brake cables over the weekend and it looks like there is slack on both cables but there will be cause it looks like there should be a bracket by the stabilizer but it’s not there. The cable sheath ends have no where to slide in to hold the sheathing. Looks like I need to buy a bracket if I can find one.

Can anybody verify that there should be a bracket in the tunnel area for these cables? I’m thinking it was welded in or riveted in

Yes, 1993 had a bracket riveted in the trans tunnel

I know the description says 87-93, but this bracket was 1993 only

Setup should look something like this
