Good to hear from you Dave, it does help.I don’t even have a tach in my car.......so, no.
Hope that helps, lol.![]()
I feel like with a name like that, we have similar thought process. That is the plan.yeah mine did it. 4 cylinder.
4 cylinder tachs are a dime a dozen, picked up another one and it's been fine so far
I let my wife drive to the grocery store, came back like this. Like who did you race and you shifted where???I've seen it happen (on friends cars), but never investigated the cause. Just swapped out the tach.
You do see the problem here, don't you?I let my wife drive to the grocery store, came back like this. Like who did you race and you shifted where???
I think it just kicked the bucket like you and junkyard said
Meh she built the last 3 motors. One in the kitchen, I’m okay with it as it justifies my next expense. You do see the problem here, don't you?

Holy crap, you let her in the kitchen too?! There are knives and fire in there. Man, you live on the edge.Meh she built the last 3 motors. One in the kitchen, I’m okay with it as it justifies my next expense.

So looking into this more. Will the 87-89 140 mph tach work on a 1993?Just for clarities sake, the 2.3l tachometer won't work with your 5.0L. You will need to source a 5.0L tachometer. You can also call local speedometer repair shops and see what they would charge to fix it.

Pm me if you want me to look in my stash for a tach.So looking into this more. Will the 87-89 140 mph tach work on a 1993?
A common problem I read into is the solder cracking and just needed resolved.I wonder if these are repairable. The last time I dissected a guage cluster, I did note that these seem to be made out of pretty common electical components. Probably a few cents each from Mouser.
