1994 mustang GT 50

I have a 1994 Mustang GT 5.0 automatic transmission. It has been acting up for a while shipping up and then shifting down and is sometimes being neutral, but I never touched the shift at all. It would just be when I'm driving about 60 miles an hour and it'd be a hardshift, so I took it to the transmission place. And they had it for 6 months, I took it back 4 times during this. I've spent five thousand dollars on this, and they rebuilt my trans and still acted up, then they put it on this thing, and it was brake center.I got it back, it's running.It's all right, but it still acts up in a different way.Could somebody tell me if they had this happen to them

Is that year electronically controlled?

Yes. 1994 went to the AOD-E. With the AOD-E's reverse and neutral are mechanically selected and shifting in the forward gears is computer controlled.

Im sorry to hear of your troubles. Unfortunately not every shop does good repairs. What do you mean by acts up in a different way?

Does the computer spit out trouble codes for the trans? Wait, 94 was still OBD 1
