I’m just making this because I’ve seen a lot of threads on what engine oil everyone with a 5.0 Mustang uses and there was one that caught my eye about using 15w 40 deisel engine oil. I’ve been using Castrol GTX 15w 40 on all my cars these past 4 years from a 2006 Nissan Altima with 170k miles to a 2013 Infiniti G37 with 120k and now in my 1995 Mustang GT and I can say it offers some of the best protection for your vehicles. I believe the diesel oil formula carries more zinc which helps stop all the metals in your engine from rubbing against each other and wearing out, it may not perform as good as a thinner oil but I’ll take the protection over power lol. Anyone else use Diesel engine oil in their 5.0?
