i thought about trying that and all I can say is GOOD LUCK! Serious alterations from what I have been told. I have seen it done and it looked superb but if you think a Fox interior is shaky and loud then watch out with this one in a fox. I went so far as to get the entire dash and console assy from a salvage yard and remove my old dash until I realized it was not a project for the less than superskilled person and sold all of my pieces. If you get it in please post a thread or link as to how you do it and take LOTS of PICTURES for everyone else to see how to do it. I am sure a process would be welcomed by all.

the main thing youll have to do is move your door handles on the inside. the dash comes out farther and will cover up part or all of the handles. i saw this problem from the pics some guy did

i always liked that picture of the fox that had the sn95 front nose on it... the sn95 woulda been alot cooler if it was offered in a hatch

is it possible to use SN95 door inside panels? or just install a solenoid door opener.

Sn95 doors are larger and taller i beleive. Panels won't fit.

What if you took out the handles, and put in solinoids, and where the door handle holes are you could fab up a black cover, and put a switch (pushbutton) there that would activate em. So instead of pulling the handle, you'd just push a button and the doors would pop.

From what I've researched and seen the door panels can be fabbed to fit I think alittle material has to be removed and filled. I know you have to fab a backing too for the top sill to work. The door handle rod can be changed to a cable i think from a sn95 to make it work.

Installing a pushbutton for a door popper is actually a pretty good idea imo. I already shaved my door handles on the outside and had poppers put in that work off my alarm remote so probably why it sounds like such a good idea to me but a pushbutton on the inside to trip the popper sounds like a totally logical solution. THNX!

I did it. I do not have a problem with door handles. I must have made it fit tighter than anybody else. This took over 10 hours to get it fitting properly. If I had to do it again, I would know exactly where to cut it and trim. I could do it in less than half the time! Enjoy!!

2001 GT drivetrain COMPLETE!!!!! (Notice my airbag fits perfect as well. It isn't all wrinkled like that pic above. Plus, that one looks blown, but still wrinkled from being too tight of a fit.

I tried to find pics but 79-82(?) mustangs have the door handles low on the panel, down by where the speaker would be. Those should work with the sn95 dash.

Thank you!!! It has not been fun. It has been a rude awakening learning experience. Without a welder, grinder, air chisel, many years experience working on stangs, and my salvage yard, this would not have been possible.

If I had to do it over again, I would have started with an 87-93 coupe instead of an old 81. I say this because many things on the 87-93 firewall are closer to a 94-04 Mustang, than the early 80's Mustangs. Plus I am putting 87-93 body panels and glass on it, so I have to drill holes to mount certain moldings, and I have to fill holes in the rockers from the stupid rocker molding they rivet on them.

Only 79 through 80 have the low door handles if I remember correctly. My 82 has them in the standard location as most of the fox chassis.
