OK Gotcha.Killer50stang said:I'm not doing it, but I have one for sale and just wondered. Thanks.
No doubt they are weaker... I bought a new-rebuilt 4 cylinder tranny (was told it was a V8 trans, but knew it wasn't once I saw the input shaft).. but it was a good buy so I got it. Here's the kicker... It lasted longer then ANY (bar none) V8 T-5 I ever had in my 83. But when it broke.. baby did it break. Grenaded the input shaft gear. Quite fun though! I bought a 3550 to replace my T-5's.... I finally learned after my 6th (yes, SIX) T-5.89sleeper said:I have heard of doing it before and I'm sure it is just about the same as putting in a regular tranny, but WHY?
