Ok im new to the whole Mustang thing. Ive always loved them. My father had a Black notchback and a green 5.0 lx. Recently i have been granted a 1991 Mustang 2.3L. I have had it for about a year and later on plan on doing engine, tranny, etc swap. One day i was driving down a road and went underneath a bridge. there was a very unnoticeable "puddle" their. (rainstorm) I hit it and no more than 5 seconds after no power. I had to be towed home. I replaced the Primary and Secondary ignition coils, the ICM (had to go newayz), and Spark plugs. i do have a bad EGR but that should not cause it to not start right? There is compression and i have ran the codes. i think it said somethin about the Crankshaft Position sensor and we replaced that. While sitting out some1 mustve come and done somethin to it cuz it was broke and i dont wanna buy another until i no wut it is for sure. i did notice it to be a little sluggish even for a 2.3 b4 it died. Im pissed i cannot even drive my fav kind of car that i even own.... I hope you guys can help meout i am going insane without it lol. THANK YOU

A similar situation happened to me as well, and it was the crank position sensor. I replaced the coil packs, the ignition controll mod., and the crank position sensor, and it would not start. It turned out to be the wrong year mod. Iwent to the parts store and bought the right one and it started up no problem.

im sry but when you say mod you meen model right? and could enlighten on how you exactly fixed or give me some kind of procedure? and my rpm gauge was doing the jumpy thing also so the ICM had to go newayz

Thanx
