Hi, been about 2 months or so.
I know this isn't the For Sale forum, but people are always saying they can't find 2.3T motors, I have one and I thought I'd let you guys take a shot at it before eBay or the local buy/sell rags do.
I live 15 minutes from Detroit Michigan and 2 hrs from Sandusky Ohio, in Windsor Ontario Canada (and for Canadians 2hrs from London Ontario, 3.5hrs from Toronto). You'd have to cross the border with it, but I'm willing to write up a fake reciept saying you paid 50 dollars for it so you'll only pay like 10 dollar's in taxes.
While your here you can blow some money at a casino, and as a bit of trivia, Windsor has the most strip clubs per capita in north america (including vegas), so you can have a pretty good time coming down. What a weekend it could be, bought a engine, legally drank and gambled at 19, had 3 dollar steaks at 4 different strip clubs.
It was out of at 88 TC 5spd, it is complete, including the computer, intercooler, turbo and VAM harness with the exception of the cam and followers. ( I bought a roller cam off a di^k and he ripped me off). The head was hot tanked and has no cracks, it also has new cam bearings installed, engine gaskets and new water pump. My brother is a Quality Control apprentice at the Ford Essex engine plant and he inspected everything and gave it the thumbs up. The motor itself had 80K Km on it (45-50K miles) and is basically in new shape. I bought and pulled the motor running from a kid who totalled his grandpa's car (bent the frame in a ditch) the first time he got to take it out.
The engine was basically ready to go in the car a month and a half ago, but a week before the big day, a buick SUV side swipped me in a intersection. I got pretty hurt, but got a nice settlement so I decided to buy something newer since I couldn't find another clean fox, and now the engines not doing me any good.
I'm looking for about 415 USD neg, since it's been rebuilt, and basically all you would need to put this into the car is a cam and followers.
