Does getting 3.5 inch tips opposed to 2.5 inch tips make exhaust that much louder?

exhaust tips do not effect exhaust note...

If anything it would make the sound either bassier or raspier. If you think about it, the bigger the exhaust setup, the less raspy and more bassy. So i'd say it *might* make it a little deeper.
