20 inch wheel Question

if you were to put a 265/ 35 20" tire they are almost exact as stock 235/50 18" only a milimeter difference in diameter, and therefore lowering it would be no-problem-o-.

also 265/35 20" will fit 9-10.5" wheel. so you could keep tires the same all the way around

No, mine do not. I do know a few people who are running some 20s with some odd back spacing and a big drop that do rub though. At the same time, I know some people who running big drops and 20s with no problems. I'm running 20x.8.5 American Racing Rogues all around, going to do 20x10s in the rear soon as I get some more power. I'm running the Steeda Sport Springs with Tokico D-Specs, no rubbing, even over rough terrain going fast.

with a 285/30r20

your overall diameter is a half inch smaller thank the stock 18's however your width is 2 inches more (11.23 instead 9.25), but they are requiring a 10inch wheel so for the rear they would be fine if you were trying them on the front that would be a different story? You woudl have to measure how much clearance you have now with the wheel turned all the way to the bump stops i would assume

As long as the overall height stays around 27-27.5" for the front and less than 28" for the rear, pretty much anything 295(maybe 305)mm or narrower will fit. Mine is lowered 1.75" front and 1.5" rear and the 255/45-18 and 295/45-18 fit fine with no rubbing. The 255/45 is identical to OEM height(27")and the 295/45 is 28.3" tall. I'm looking at a 29.2"x11.6" tire for the rear and I made a cardboard cutout and it looks like I will have room for that as well. As far as front clearance, you can run a 275/40-18 on a 10" wide wheel which is 26.7"x10.9"(tire/wheel size on the Roush Trak Pak Stang).

thats all fine and dandy, but remember the rear is good for about anything, it is the front you need too worry about most. Height will always be fine it is the width that will cause rubbing. When you turn, worst case you can usually get a 20"x8.5 rim for the fronts and a 10" for the rear and you can put a variety of tires on, the only questionably one would be the 11"+ widths on the front.

go to tirerack and they will show whats decent and reccomended tire sizes. and look at
