Does anyone know how many S281's were produced in 03? I bought my car new over a month ago. Does Saleen send you something that tells about production? Just curious.

You can call Liz @ Saleen and request a Letter of Authenticity (LOA).

This will tell you some details about your Saleen, and tell you how many were produced that year.

Call after noon PST @ 1.800.888.8945 and if you do not get her, leave a message.

Then you need to join the Saleen Club of America

It is not necessary to join Team Saleen to get a letter of authenticity? I can just call and ask and they will send me one?! For free?!!

If you plan on holding on to the car, I would recommend the book. It's well worth it

Thanks Rick- I called Liz at Saleen today. She is sending me a letter of authenticity. I can't wait to see how many were produced in my color and options. Were did you get the Saleen book at?

Hey Justin,

Sorry the book doesn't go into that much detail, but the letter from Saleen will.
If you give me your # of the car, I can look up the options from the book.

BTW, I have the same colors, Silver with grey seats. Black softtop.
Mine is a Hollywood Horsepower edition. One of three made with my options group.

Also, how do you like the car? I've only had mine for 8 months. I love it. It sucks winter coming, Can't wait for the spring!

03-262. Yours is dark shadow gray also? I haven't seen too many in that color yet.

I love the car. Wish I would have gotten it supercharged though! I've added a bassani o/r x pipe so far. Getting ready to go with 4.10 gears. I'm getting ready to put mine up for winter in about a month.

Mine has the 3:55's and chrome wheels. I bought it new in Febuary. I have never had any contact from Saleen about ownership. Seems to me they should get that automatically from the dealer, then if they were on thier game they would send out a "Welcome to the Family" kit that would hit up new owners to join Team Saleen, as well as a part catalog to get them to buy upgrades. Just my opinion.

I got my letter of authenticity! Mine is 1 out of 3 with dark shadow gray ext with dark charcoal interior and chrome rims.
