Will a set of 18" rims from a 2006 GT fit on my 2002 sixer? They're 235/50/ZR18 from a 2006, will it rub in the front when turning and will the 18" with a 55 sidewall fit in the wheel well?

I believe the lug nut pattern is the same, but i am worried about all the other dimensions of the wheel...

No, they won't fit. Would be nice though. 05+ stock wheels are not compatible with earlier models.

This isnt completely true. The 17's will fit but not the 18's. The offset and backspacing on all the 05+ wheels are different and they sit in much farther than the OEM wheels on your car. The backspacing/offset/diameter combo on the 18's causes probs on the older cars. I think 05+ wheels look horrendous on anything older anyway.

Would adding a spacer work?

Im looking because I need new tires, and new tires for mine is gonna be like $420+ and if I get some used rims and tires with good treads left, and sell my old wheels I can almost get it for the price of the new tires... Because dropping $1000+ on the rims and tires I want isn't an option right now... unfortunantly...

Get yourself some Bullitt take-offs. They will fit your car without modification, will only cost $400-500 for the set, and they look sweet! Check on Ebay.
