I just bought a pair of 07 rims for 200 bucks, I know that you can put 04 rims on the 66 with backspacers but what would be the proper backspacer for the 07 rims?

Hey Bud,

You might provide a few more details, like dia, width? What size tires your looking to mount.
Also, when you start adding plates, you reduce your stud length, unless, you opt for the expensive adapter plates. That $200 purchase may cost you another $200.
Good Luck!

You'll need 1.5" or maybe 1.25" (depends on the upper control arm) bolt on spacers to run any wheels from an 05 or newer Stang on a 66. I had a set of 05 premium Gt wheels on my 66 for a few months with 225/45's up front and 245/45's out back, with 1.25" spacers up front and 1.5" out back (slightly narrower that stock rear). I switched to 02 Bullitts later on. Pic of the wheels attached.

I had a set of '05 16" v6 wheels I was gonna run on my car, and yes, the offset is off the map! You will have to run 1.5" spacers. Not a good idea. That moves your leverage point on the suspension out too far and it induces too much stress on the shock towers, and they will start to crack. I ended up selling mine and am going to have to go with a different wheel.
