This looks terrible......... Is there really a pipe inside the pipe?! Is it just the angle of the photo? I'm torn between a 6 vert and a GT coupe and it's little things like this that will sway me one way or the other........ Once I spend the cash on the car I'm not going to be able to mod anything so I really need to get what I want when I get it. I haven't been to the dealer yet to look because I'm really not ready to buy until the end of the summer but...

Thanks!

I was just looking at sum of the 2011 V6 pics I got on my comp..and I think its the angle of the picture..I cant see that double pipe thing when looking at the car from the rear right on.

..I also have seen the V6 in person at the auto show and didnt notice it..and I know you dont wana mod so that gets rid of that option if it did have such a thing

I will double check this week comming up to see if it does have that double piping..I'm going to see them in Miami when on vacation..inventory says they have 11 of them

an axleback kit will fix that in like an hour. plus it'll sound cooler and go faster. that doesn't even count as a mod lol

It's the bigger exhaust tip (3.5") welded on around the normal exhaust (2.25") piping. If a person really wanted to, you could cut out the normal exhaust pipe and get rid of the ugly look. However, this may result in a different exhaust tone.

Is the GT the same way or is it 3.5" all the way through?

I don't know how much it would bother me in real life -- I've just noticed it in a few pics from that low. If you can't see the smaller pipe from the driving position of another car, I'd be ok with it.

So many decisions... thankfully I have the luxury of time... I could even hold out until the '12s drop or used '11s start popping up. At some point I have to take the plunge 'cuz Ford is just making things better and better!
