BTW, put your order back in. The Terminator is nothing compare to the new 5.0 buddy.

Good luck.

for someone to say a Terminator is nothing compared to a new 5.0 is just asinine.

Hell a simple intake swap and tune will net nearly 450HP on the 5.0. That's Terminator with a pulley territory. Terminators are fun, and I love them but there is no comparison between them and the new 5.0. Put a twin screw on the 5.0 and the Cobra don't stand a chance.

You are wrong.

My friend put a pulley, intake, tune (chip) and x-over on his '04 Terminator. It puts down 459 to the wheels.

A 5.0 with intake and tune will not put down 450 to the wheels.

ive driven 5.0's before.. they do not feel like they have 412 horsepower. Mod for mod and dollar for dollar.. the terminator is equal too or exceeds the performance levels of the 5.0

okay, maybe, but it still has a chassis and interior that isn't anywhere near as nice as the current cars.

This is very true. The s197 cars are leaps and bounds better in the chassis and fit and finish dept. But then again, we are comparing apples to oranges in actuality. The chassis of the Terminator is actually 70's technology as a baseline

well, the solid rear axle in the s197 cars goes back farther than the 70's.. just look what also has solid axles, Steam locomotives, Conestoga wagons and Roman chariots.

but still, you are comparing a forced induction motor, to a n/a one. put the same blower off the Terminator on the 5.0, and go mod for mod. then see which one is putting down a stronger dyno.

all in all, both are great cars. my personal choice would be the 5.0. better ride, better interior, better motor. if i'm going to spend over 20K, im going to get the best all around package. but hey, different strokes, for different folks

Looks to me like the guy wasn't into buying the 5.0 anyway and really looking for an excuse to terminate (no pun intended 8) ) his order and he found one. He sounds like he'll be much happier with a Cobra anyway because the 5.0 is just a GT. I'll take the 5.0. It'll run with M3s. 8)
