I have searched the whole car for pieces like that, but it was a like metal shearing sound a few months ago every time I would go to leave work. It would do it for about 100 ft then stop so I always thought it was just brake dust or maybe a residue from the rain possibly.Why am I suspecting a prank by someone adding a tie-wrap somewhere that is smacking around? But yeah, visual inspection would be the first step to see if you can track down more specifically where the sound is coming from.
I’ve checked them to see if there was wear on them. but when i turn the wheel in a revolution you can see the brake pads moving up or down inside of the hardware of the brake caliper depending on which way i turn the wheel.So you have checked the brake pads and there is movement when you push on the wheel?
