Can anybody tell me approximately how wide a wheel would be that would fit that tire size? Any help would be appreciated.

Wow I didn't know you could get 14's that wide. Where'd you come across those? Sorry I'm not sure about the necessary wheel width.

That used to be the hot setup back in the early 80's back when 16" and 17" wheels were unheard of and the High Performance Mustangs mounted the ungodly expensive TRX tires.

I have P215/60-HR14 tires currently but I am aware of several people who used to run them. I was told you need to have good shocks, struts, and springs because if the body sags you might get alot of body rub.

And the Mustangs I have seen with P235/60-14's looked very nice, the tires fill the wheel well very nicely.

Now, are these wheels 7" wide? More? Less? Thanks.

they are 6" wide. When you run a tall tire, you can go a lot wider than you otherwise would be able to. Still, I would prefer to see a 7" wide wheel with that wide of a tire.
Just get on tirerack, and look up your size. You will find the manufacture recommended rim width for that tire size.

And, would I be right in saying that the finned 14" polycast wheels are 5" wide?

I run my 235-60-14's on a 7" wheel and they work well but I believe that it is recommended for a 6.5-8 or 8.5 I am going to look into some 245-60-14's or if I can round up the $$$ I will get the 265-50-14 yes that's 14's.
