255/45/17 on 17x9s

I recently purchased some 17x9 03 Cobra wheels and was going to go with the 245/45/17 setup, but then read on here that it may look kind of goofy and ugly. So the 255/45/17 I read that it may rub at full lock, correct? What does it rub on exactly? The setup is going on a 01 V6 (stock suspension). Thanks for the help.

I have 285/35/18 in the rear & 245/40/18 in the front and nothing rubbs, and I had them before I got lowering springs, shocks, struts & sway bars and nothing rubbed then and nothing rubbs now

At work we just put some 275/40/17 on a 17x9.5 bullit wheel and it looks pretty good, wide as a cobra in the rear, but the front still looks a little "high". They didn't rub in the front which was shocking, so I guess the 255s will be ok.
