i have an 8.8 and am needing to change from the stock 28 spline to a hd 33 spline. When i do so is there anything else i'll need to change in the pumpkin? Or is it all compatible? Also what is the max HP and TQ rating of the 8.8 with hd internals?
unless your running 9's or quicker you dont need 33's. but you will need new 33 spline carrier and i dont think they make c-clip 33's so you have to swap to c-clip eliminators.
i would just goto 31 spline c-clip axles and truck carrier.
33 spline axles are a bit of overkill unless you have one damn quick car . My buddy run's 10's in the 1/4 mile with 31 splines . When you change the axles ,you will have to change the carrier to match the spline count on the axles .
yes i'm looking for 9's. I believe i can buy them with the c clip elim. kit and i need a new 33 spline carrier. I'll need nothing more and nothing less? I'll be changing my diff and ratio also.
