i couldn't find anything on this. I am curious how much the stock 289 valve springs can take, as far as how big of a camshaft can i use with them? I plan to use them untill i get some real heads.

thanks.

Ive use stock springs on cams up to .512 lift and currently have a eldelbrock torquer cam using stock springs. Dont know the exact specs but stock spring are very weak but anything stronger would probably pull the studs from the heads.
