289 heads on late model 302??!

i am not sure if this is a good deal or not, was going to port my stock e7te's but i know someone who has some 289 heads
1966 289 Cylinder heads, 58cc chambers, light porting on the intake
runners, larger valves installed (1.94 I/ 1.56 E), heavier springs
installed (.500" max lift), pressed in studs. Used, about 15k miles.
and only wants a hundred bucks for em, was wondering if you guys think this is a good deal and if these will bolt right up to my 1989 302 and retain all my egr and basic smog stuff, since i know smog wasn't much of a big deal in 66 also if this deletes any smog stuff you think i'll still be able to pass smog if i'm a little shady and tweak my car pretty hard (drop fuel pressure, maybe loosen the mufflers, play with tps whil on meter to find cleanest point, etc...) without this stuff the head may be missing?
do you think i'll get more power out of these than some home ported e7te's??
