289 Hi-po w/ 5-speed?

Hi, I usually post in the 4.6L fourm because well, I have a 2000 GT and it just applies to me. Well, I also have a '66 289 Hi-Po (K-code) and I'm putting in a 5-speed tranny in like 2 weeks. The car has the basic Hi-Po modifications done to it (Shelby intake, Headers, 4.11's) I was just wondering if anyone here has done this swap and what you guys think of the set up? Please feel free to offer suggestions! Thanks.
 
DUE NOTE, we've run into a couple of HYPO, and GT based cars that have 164 Toothed flywheels, not the 157s that's required for the use of the later model bellhousings. ;) Just sharing our experience
