289 Hi-po w/ 5-speed?

Hi, I usually post in the 4.6L fourm because well, I have a 2000 GT and it just applies to me. Well, I also have a '66 289 Hi-Po (K-code) and I'm putting in a 5-speed tranny in like 2 weeks. The car has the basic Hi-Po modifications done to it (Shelby intake, Headers, 4.11's) I was just wondering if anyone here has done this swap and what you guys think of the set up? Please feel free to offer suggestions! Thanks.

Yep, I got the kit (spacer plate and transmission brace) from Mustangs Plus and been abusing it ever since.

personally i plan on useing the bellhousing from an 85-93 mustang and switching to a cable or hydraulic clutch in my 66 coupe.

DUE NOTE, we've run into a couple of HYPO, and GT based cars that have 164 Toothed flywheels, not the 157s that's required for the use of the later model bellhousings. Just sharing our experience
