Be done on a 18x9 inch rim,

I got a great deal on some 03 Cobra's BLACK 18" (RARE) rims for 489 shipped and I have these tires lying around ! Or should I just run a 285/35/18

Aren't you going to run into offset problems with 03 Cobra wheels?

295's are awfully big for 9" rims, bellow most manufactures minimum width. You can physically put the tire on there, but my bet is a 275 will perform better.

oh, i was under the impression you were wanting to go with 295s on all four corners. you can definitely run a 295 on the rear. but i would run like a 295/40/18 in the back. i think the 30 series may be too small for the rear tire. just a thought

I have 18x9 all the way around with a 265 up front and 285 in the back, no problems.

It will fit on the 9" wheel. The thing that bothers me is the actual sidewall height may be too short to allow for enough proper sidewall flex. A taller aspect ratio would be much better suited for the 9". I have a 295/45 on 10" wheel and I don't see why it couldn't be mounted on a 9" wheel.

Got the tires from a local tire shop in town. Not as cheap as a few places on the net, but I've dealt with them for about 15 years and if I have a problem they're less than a mile away
Do I have picks from the back.....You asked

And one from the front
