Hello,

I can get a great deal on a pair of new Pirelli P Zero 295/ 35/ 18 tires.

I currently have 275/ 40/18 on my 18 x 9 wheels
I was wondering if anyone has done this on the rear and there are issues or problems with this set up.

Also, if someone could please post pics on how this looks.

Thanks again,
Edo.

I'll be finding out in a couple of hours. Look through the threads, I had one with a bunch of different answers.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes, Please let me know how it goes for you!
Would really appreciate some pics once it is done.

What tire on what rim will you be installing?

Thanks, Edo.

Tire manufacturers reccomend a 10-11.5 inch wide wheel for a 295.
Will it fit on the wheel 9 inch wheel, yes.
Will you get maxium performance and wear, no.
Is it the smart thing to do, no.
Do people always try and fit too big of a tire on too small of a wheel, yes. Will they swear they have no problems, yes.

Tire manufacturers would love to sell more large expensive tires and if it was safe to put on a smaller rim they would say so just to make money. The fact that they dont reccomend this should say something. You would get more real world performance and handling out of a 275 than the 295.

Here are the specs for a pirelli p zero

you should really go with 285's instead to 295's. 285 are the biggest recommend size you can go with 9" rim. Believe, they still look bada$$, I used to have that on my 01GT.

Yeah, I figured 285 would work good, it's just that some guy here localy was giving a great deal on some new Pirelli 295's.

Hey Wil, did you get rid of your engine?

Ok I just posted the pics on Cardomain because I didn't want to figure out how to put them on here. You can see they bulge a little but it's not too bad. I would probably go 285 but these don't seem too bad. They make the 265's look tiny. I was gonna get 265's all around, luckily I didn't. They leave the lip of the rim exposed for curbs. Let me know what you think.

Wow, those do look good.
Not too much bulge. I think I am just going to buy them and try them for a while.

How is the ride, any difference from the tires you had on before.

Thanks for the info and pics.
