Does anyone have any experience with this engine builder from St. Charles IL??? Or any other for that matter??? I'm looking to find an engine with all forged internals, ported heads and cams for my super charged Saleen (root's style blower). I'm looking to keep my car as stock appearing as possible, but the least stock sounding and performing as possible... Any advice? Thanks

Modular Powerhouse is the best place to buy an engine from.

http://www.modularpowerhouse.com/

If you do a search on here you will find many satified customers.

MPH is a very reputable operation.

however, i may also suggest looking into VT Engines in Detroit (i think) Michigan. a lot closer to you, maybe.

dont know much about DSS so i wont comment.

I have seen there operations, and if it is half as good as their pushrod line you will be satisfied. They don't assemble engines that use weak components. from me.

You may also want to check out Sean Hyland Motorsports. Class operation. And very well known for building great motors.

they are a bunch of over priced ripoffs.
You better research some more on SHM.They are known for building crap.

As far as mod motors id go with a KNOWN mod motor builder.Building mod motors is different than the pushrods.

steen racing, modular powerhouse, modular performance, renagade racing(my builder) are just a few GOOD modular builders.

honestly i would build my own, everyone gets scared including me but after my machine shop walked me through the options of machining they had to offer like torque plates and what not i knew what i wanted and you can save alot of money for better parts instead of paying endless labor costs,i dont know about you guys but when i spend $4000 on an engine it has all the goodies you can imagine because of reason 1 i took the time to build it myself, engine building is not hard its just a little time consuming, but nothing feels better than driving a bad azz car and smoking people with your achievement under the hood that you built, just my opinion.
