300 mile trip Sunday - Bad trac-loc dangerous?

I think I have problems with my 8.8 trac-loc. When turning at parking lot speeds, the car wiggles and makes groaning sounds. At road speeds it feels OK ... maybe a little unresponsive. It's not unpleasent to drive, but is it dangerous to drive or likely to leave me stranded? Should forget my Sunday trip? Thanks.

OK Must be a stupid question. Can anyone tell me how to delete it?

the trac-lok breaking wont leave you stranded, mine is broken.

one wheel will still turn if the trac-loc fails, it would be like having a open differental

Yeah, you'll be ok. I made a 1000 mile trip in my 83 with a bum traction loc. Made ALL kinds of noises around turns... almost a clunking and banging sound... but didn't leave me stranded... You're good to go.
