302 timing

what should the advance be on timing for a mild 302, i was thinking 6 degrees?, any help would be great.

Mild 5.0s usually respond well to 14-16 degrees timing at an idle. Mine likes 15. Make sure you use good gas.

are you carbed or fuel injected. if your carbed i go by total advance not base timing.witout vacum advane and the centralfegural at full advance id say at about 35-38 degrees and full advance should come at about 2500rpm, adjust that by tigening or loosening springs through the square wndow in the by the hall efect sensor. youll need to rotate the engine by hand to get to the 2 of then
