does my 2001 cobra have a 31 spline axle? i wanna order gears soon and i was lookin at frpp site and found these notes that say i have a 31 spline. i thought only terminators had that i thought i had a 28?

Yes, 31 spline in the '01s. 28 spline in the '99s. 03/04 came with 31 spline.

so all those people who told me i needed to beef up the rear end before trying to launch hard at the track were wrong? cuz a 31 spline is what most people go to when they are beefing it up, right?

On the IRS, it's usually not the axels or carrier, it is the half shafts. Yes you need to be carful with the half shats on 01's.
