Starting build up of a 331 most of all parts coming form dss racing. I'll be building an all new engine but I was wondering will the stock computer be able to work with the new motor? Also what kinda of parts will I be able to carry over like injectors, mass air etc... or will I have to repalce everything?
thanks

Hey

First, yes your stock computer will work just fine. You will NOT want to carry over your injectors or mass air.

You should get at least 30lber's and around a 77mm Pro-M (now PMAS) Mass Air Flow. You really need to tell us what heads, cam, and intake you are using to really be able to give you a good idea of what you need. Also, a 70mm throttle body will be suitable. I am also building a 331.

ok, here we go, im gonna throw it out there..... get a custom cam.

you already sank $1300+ into heads, another $500 into that intake, why not drop the extra $100 (vs and OTC cam) into a custom cam by EdC, hitech, Jay Allen or other reputable builders? at this point, you will gain more there.

you should have 30lb injectors, but 24s will work, your MAF should be no smaller than 75mm and your throttle body no smaller than 70mm. Stock computer will work fine, but get a custom chip if at all possible.
