331 combo

92 gt 331 dss rotating assembly, stock block, iron gt 40 (ported), cobra intake, e cam, 1.7rr, stock tb stock inj. think this tb and inj. can keep up? do i need better heads? or should i go with a 306 rotating assembly, need suggestions. thanx

Definately gonna need 24lbs injectors. TB will pick it up at least 10 horsepower with that combo, but it's not gonna make the engine run like crap if you don't change it. Heads will be OK.

Why would you want to go from a 331 to a 306? Doesn't seem to make sense. The combo you have is good for a street car. The car is getting much more air so you need to take care of fuel concerns i.e. fuel pump (255lph), injectors (24lbs), MAF, and later....a TB

If it was me why not go with the 331. Then later upgrade the tb and injectors. Easy to change both of them.
