So I got my car dyno'ed today. It ended up putting down 332hp and 340tq on a mustang dyno. It ran around a 12.5 afr with 30 degrees of spark. Next time I go i'm going to try 12.8:1 and a few more degrees. I was expecting slightly bigger numbers, was I asking too much?
The Mustang dyno will usually report lower values than a Dynojet.
I asked him for a daily driver that made 375rwhp which was my goal even if it was a little high. He sent me back a cam with a 605 lift so I was surprised it was that big. I think my rings never seated right, I have 1500 miles on the engine and the oil still gets nasty after only a few hundred miles.I was just starting this thread since I see 302's making this much tq
I just changed my oil after 600 miles...changed it at 200 miles also, and it still looks dirty after after just 400 miles...what do you mean about the rings not seating right?? does this cause any issues?? After how many miles should the oil start looking normal??
I have seen several of Ed's cams that have high lift, narrow durations for daily driver cam's, mine included.
Your numbers seem spot on, especially for possibly having ring seating issues/blow-by...

my 331 just made 420hp and 404 tq at the rear wheels with 38deg total timing. I swear the dyno was messed up but the owners dynoed another car right after we took my car off and it dynoed right where they expected it to. This was done on a dyno dynamics dyno which is supposed to read lower then a mustang dyno.
