After poping the #1 piston on my 2v mod motor ( built by Livernois, cheated by Livernois as well) I am sort of stuck with a delema.
Car in mention is my 2001 Mustang GT ( 4R70w trans)
-2v features, Cobra crank, manley h beams, ARP through out. Previously built by Livernois with Mahle 10cc pistons ( was lied to when sold, claimed 16cc dish) Little to say, compression was high without being aware, and pump gas did not cut it on 10psi of boost. ( #1 ring land blew out)
-342 features 4340 crank, 4340 H beams, ARP, Probe pistons, Speed pro rings, Clevette bearings, and a B50 race prepped block w/ main support & studs. ( block needs cleaned, honed, and new bearings/rings to freshen up)
Rebuild the 2v or freshen up my 342 and drop it in.
Both engines have all the goodies, the 342, obviously having the advantage here.
I have been seriously considering dropping this pushrod engine in my 01 GT.
One of my main concerns right now is the spark control/ECU.. I have considered Megasquirt as a serious option, but know very little about it right now, and feel I do not have the time to invest into really learning it. I do not want to get involved with hacking wiring harness' too much, but am willing to do a little cut/soldering.
What to do, what to do...

I see you are having fun with new engines like I have been. Luckily mine didn't break internally. Just defective head gaskets. Either way, resulted in pulling the engine again to find out that's ALL it was for sure.
good luck! yea maybe is time to try something "new"
