350Z Twin Turbo vs Uncle Kenneth

Thanks. Yes I have bwalls.

Feathered first, feathered second, feathered third, finally got hook in 4th but had to shut it down at about 5500 rpm. Ran out of room.

This is one seriously fast 350Z

I know, I'm lame, some slicks would be sweet. I want to run it at the track just once to see what it would do.

I just got my new spec stage 3 clutch in the mail yesterday. Once I get that installed, I will likely borrow somebody's slicks and hit the track. I promised myself I would take it down there just once.

Where do you find all of these cool cars? Never seem to find anything like this around the hood.

What kind of power is that Z pushing out, looks like it was moving. If its the Greddy twin kit he should be close to 350-400 rwhp, right?

Dude, I'm a magnet for races, what can I say.

Yes it is the Greddy TT kit. This car has like 50 grand in it (at least that is what they said). Nobody wanted to disclose it's power. Huge front mount, all sorts of work done to it. It is pretty damn fast.

Damn, 50k, that like 15k more than the car costs new :jaw:

I wonder if they were spraying you or something. From what Ive read on the TT 350zs, they were on average putting out around 350-375 max with the kit due to the internals not holding up. Now if he had everything built in the engine, he may be running a lot more boost than the 8 lbs they are limited too by the stock internals. Anyways Im sure if you would had found a way to hook up it would have been over a lot sooner. But seriously that some crazy crap on that street.

Waterpog, for the headsup races, do you have to run in the competition or can you run solo on those days. I need a lot more practice with my car on the track before I even attempt to go up against someone. I went up there for the first time a few weeks ago for the first time and made only 2 quick runs that were not very good. Guess I just need some more practice?

The track is open on the heads up nights just like usual, except that the gates open at 5:00 instead of 7:00. The time trial lanes are open and running between our rounds as well, and we have to be done by 10:00 anyway because of the noise limit.

If you're interested in racing on the heads up nights, you may want to try and get some practice on a pro tree. It's a lot different than the regular sportsman tree. If you're interested in racing in Drag Radial especially I would also recomend getting some class legal tires to practice with. Both dan and Jeff were pulling ~1.6-1.7 60' times on the little tires which tells me that even as small as they are they would be better than any normal street tire.

Crap...why is it that I can see only half of the video posts here... :bang: Sounds like a sweet kill though. I took a silver 350Z with a twin turbo set up at PR last month. His trap speed was faster, but I got there quicker. Gotta love Uncle Ken and his magic motor elixir! :spot:
