i would like to know your opinions on which dual plane 351w intake is best between the rpm airgap and the weiand stealth. please give your reasons or experiences. also do you have to do any machine work on the intake to get it to fit on a 1969 351 block since it's not quite a 9.5 deck?? thanks ahead of time.

No machine work required. Go with the Air Gap man, it's that simple. Not only is the Air Gap a dual plane but it perform's just about as as good as a single plane intake because of it's design. Basically providing a nice broad power range throughout your RPM's. Weiand is old technology and if you were to test the two on a dyno I can just about guarantee the Air Gap will out perform it quite easily.
What are you putting this in and why are you going dual plane?

i'm putting this in a 91 coupe. it's mostly a street car and i'm not going to turn over 6500 rpm's. i think i'll trade a little torque for top end power.

Ya, I would definetly go with the Air Gap then if you want some good torque. I hope you have a cowl hood on your stang though cause your going to need one for that taller 351. By the way what Carb are you going to be using?

I had a Holly 850dp on a 351W with a Victor Jr. intake and it was waaaay too much carb. The motor had no cam and stock heads though, which could be why.

I agree, the air gap is best suited to you're goals. I run the super victor with a 1000cfm, but mines a little more radical. 850 will be fine.

Oh, to answer another question, I have a 69 block also and had to deck it too, no intake fitment problems, had to mill heads also. Still fit fine.
