I thought about a 351 swap in my 03 gt. I of course wouldn't do the work myself. How much of a hassle would the swap be. Lets say for parts and labor, not counting the full engine. Of course would like the factory guages to work. a/c would not be a problem i would just delete it. Saleen put these in sn95 mustangs, so i figure the parts are there. I'm just looking for a round about estimate.

I thought about this based on the expensive amount of money it cost to build up a modular n/a car and only get 300-320 rwhp.

I would think a crate 99/01 Cobra motor with a few bolt-ons would be at least a hundred hours of labor cheaper and a couple thousand less bucks.

One of my good friends in Augusta has a 99 Cobra (one of the crappy ones, right?) and is putting down 330/330 naturally aspirated. Full exhaust, pulleys, good tune, p&p intake, Pro-M MAF, and a hi-flo inlet tract was what it took, IIRC. Since you are looking at 10-30 rwhp less you would have less of a shopping list.
