Hmm...

ok, now I need to try to get a little more detail on it. Any other info I can get off of it to help get better info?

Deck height is going to be 9.5 not the slightly lower height of the earliest castings. You are on the cusp for heads. Do you have the head casting #?

In short, it is a run-of-the-mill 351 block, better than a 302!

the block is a 75-80. The D4AE could be a 71-74 but later in the number you have a AA which identifies it as a 75-80 perhaps even to 83.
No D4 is 74 If it were a 75 it would be D5 Or E0 for 80.
A=40`s
B=50`s
C-60`s
D=70`s
E=80`s and so on.
The number after is year D1 for 71
D2 for 72 and you get it from there.
