Quick question: Will a Ford Racing 351W Dual Plane "Performer RPM" intake manifold work/fit on a 302?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=1404

The site says "For use with any mid-RPM small block application", but then again...

351W's have a taller deck block, and hence, need a wider intake to bridge the gap between the heads. Deck heght of the 260/289/302 is 8.206". 351C is 9.2", 351W's are 9.5"

come on guys of course it can be done. the intake has to be taken to a machine shop and be milled but it could be done. without modification no it won't work.

no, it can't. how are you going to bolt the intake down? through the bolt holes you just milled away?

There is no way to make that intake fit, the 351 has "wider shoulders".
