I'm almost positive the T-45 has the drain plug on the side of the tranny. The TR-3650 has the plug on the bottom.

2nd opinion? Confirmation anyone?

yes the 3650 does have the drain plug on the bottom. LOL this sounds stupid, but does it grind going into reverse?? If so then you got the T-45

And if it clunks into 2nd you've got yourself a 3650.

I thought there is no reverse synchro in the T-45s, so long as your shift into 1st or 2nd first, then into R, all is well.
I just shift to 1st (with clutch ALL the way to the floor), then into R, and it doesn't grind.

That's definitely mine! Mine clunks into 2nd gear when it's cold, but it only does this maybe 2 times

I have the t-45 and it grinds going into reverse. I just put it in 1st or 2nd and then shift in reverse to keep it from grinding. Seems to work so far.
