I would take a T5 over any other 5spd trans any day. The T5 trans comes off the bell housing and in your hands in under 30 minutes. If you have a problem, it is easy to remove, fix, and reinstall. And with all the new HD parts they make for that T5, you won't be taking it out after you put a good one in. The damn T45 and TR3650's don't have the removeable bell from the outside, making removal of them a nightmare. The only good thing about them is that if you have a problem with 5th or reverse, it can be fixed while still in the car, because you can just remove the rear tail housing and 5th and reverse is seperate.
I have had trouble with clutches not disengaging on both T45's I have had...which is almost the same as a TR3650.
I have had problems with three T45's...(2 in my Cobra) and (1 in my 81 notch which I just had fixed)
Those transmissions have caused me nothing but headaches, and I have not one bad thing to say about a T5. I know I don't run 10's with them, but the cars I have had with T5's have ran low 13's and seen heavy street abuse and tire smoking action.
