Ok so I have a 90 mustang 347 stroker carved. I did this 3g alternator swap and it works but now it's draining the battery. I figured out the problem was the constant hot/ yellow wire on the back of the alternator. I hooked it to the alternator output post since its supposed to be constant hot. When I disconnect it completely it doesn't drain the battery but the voltage drops. Here are my questions.
1. Why is it draining.
2. When I have the yellow wire plugged in it squeaks at higher rpm.(the alternator squeaks not the belt). When it's unplugged it doesn't squeak at all why Is this any ideas would be great thanks.
