I just picked up an alternator from a 98 Taurus. It was a relatives car that was no good anymore and so he did not need the alternator. I have all the pieces I need, but 1 thing has come up. I need to rotate the case 1/3 turn to get the connectors on the top where they are needed. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible and how to go about it, or do I have to buy an alternator. From all of the photos of the alternators the only real difference is that the case is turned. Thanks in advance and if this works I will post my before and after pics.

Reclocking does not work on this alternator. The wires soldered to the rectifier prevent the case from splitting and can not be rotated. Looks like I am going to the junk yard to get an alt from a 94 or 95. Thanks for the insight tho.
