3rd gear problems help!!!

its getting difficult to put it into 3rd gear...causes a slight grind at lower speeds, and if im trying to downshift on the highway at about 75mph it's almost impossible...huge grinding. whats going on???

are you pushing the clutch in all the way? are you sure you're shifting right into the 3rd gear slot?

i have had a couple of stock trannys do that to me. that is the first sign that the synchronizers are going out. time for a new tranny.

Mines a little tough to get into 3rd from 5th when Im over 75 or so. It has every right to be IMO though . Try rev matching it and see if that will help you stick it in 3rd easier. If not, try putting the clutch in, holding it there for a few seconds, then downshift. Maybe your synchros just arent lining up as quickly as they should
