ok I just went through all my time slips before and after gears and found one slip where i ran the same time exactly.

before after before after
60ft 2.403 2.149 2.292 1.767
330ft 6.270 6.177 6.131 5.836
et@594ft 8.865 8.800 8.693 8.479
1/8et 9.443 9.384 9.264 9.071
1/8mph 77.86 76.95 78.82 76.10
1000'et 12.105 12.094 11.903 11.790
1/4et 14.443 14.443 14.203 14.140
1/4 mph 97.82 98.10 99.58 98.26

Overall my times where better and more consistant with before the gear swap. before gears i was running a consistang 14.2-14.3 witha best of 14.203. After the gears it was basicly 14.4-14.5 all day long with a best of 14.1. I did notice my 60ft's went down a lot after the gear swap, but my mph went down my 14.1 run was @ 98.26 and my 14.2 before the swap was at 99.58.

I changed my fuel filter but havent gone back yet...........I'm wondering if my predators hurting me a couple people said they've lost power with it.

Dude, I feel your pain. I put 410s in the car on the same day I took off the Dr Gas x. 60fts went from 2.3-2.4 to 1.9-2.0s but MPH stayed the same and ETs stayed the same. From low 14s to low 14s, go figure, they almost mirror your times. I feel that taking off the Xpipe cost me a few tenths and maybe some MPH but I am not sure. This is not uncommon with a 410 swap as several members have posted the same issue with the posts being that they need to learn to drive better. I will say the 410s totally changed my powerband. On the Hypertech dyno my power drops significantly after 5200RPM. Next time out I may try to shift @5K and see what she will do. I am sure the car is capable of 13s BUT I need to drive it better. You would think that with 60fts in the 1.90s a 13 second pass would be a given. Practice mkes perfect and it is tough to figure exactly the powerband you need to stay in with those gears. Good luck to ya

you have 18" wheels...do you have dr's?? if not then try switching to a smaller rim and some D/R's...see where you stand after that...

The 18's will also change your overall gearing

Only if he put on the wrong size tire. As long as 26 inches you are fine.

This biggest issue with moving to the higher gear ratio is tire spin off the line and between gears. That hurts more than we all think. Keep the rubber stuck to the road or go with d/r's. That is the main reason people are disappointed with 4:10 1/4 mile times.

Yea but look, his 60' times are down with the 4.10s, so he IS getting out of the hole better, but he may be spinning when he hits gears...if you spin you dont win, so now it sounds like 4.10s are a waste unless you have DRs to keep the tires from breaking when you shift..and man with 4.10s you will get killed by a stock GT on the street because there is even less traction, unless you drive around with DRs on.Yea I am going to go with 3.55s, should be a GREAT all around gear that will help 1/4 times as well as 60' times...just too many people having little or no improvement with 4.10s on the track, while getting less milage than they did before.(at least your clutch will last longer LOL) Anybody with good luck on street tires with 4.10s?

I have 3.73s and they work great. I do drive on dragg radials every day. I know lots of people with 4.10 on the street and they do great even with regular radials. I dont know what the problem is that these guys are having but it isnt the gears as long as they were instaled properly.

False. They have the same diameter tire.

this guy(ruckus) thinks that he cut a 1.7 on street tires, well nope didnt happen...not the way he described his launch to me when he posted that before. Plain and simple, there was something wrong with the timing equipment or it was falsely tripped.

YOU DIDNT CUT A 1.7 60'!!! I know its possible but you didnt pull one....**** like that doesnt happen on accident.

yeah my lil sis went with 3:55 on her stang, she's scared of the 4:10 on the streets, might be too much for her to handle. Same goes for most women who drives stang, you hardly see them with 4:10s..go figure...If can't control your tire spin or can't handle it, you should get 3:08
