You actually need both. If you are gonna get some 4.10s you'll need to hook up with some meats in the back. If you are running 17x8s on street tires.....4.10s might frustrate you.

Threads like this somewhat piss me off, do with your money what you want and just be smart. I just recently spent a little over 1300 bucks on my wheels and tires, sure i coulda got other stuff with that but i decided to get wheels and i am very happy with them. You'll eventually be doing what you don't do now later anyway, just be preprared to spend.

4.10's you will love how much better your car feels with the gears. But I am the type that hardly ever does appearance mods.

So where are you geting that it will be like 800.00 for a gear job? I mean there is a good shop about an hour away from me that does them all day long for 300.00 and I mean the whole nine yards. gear labor and lube out the door 300.00 plus tax. So I would go with the gears.
