What about a NPI car with a blower? what cams do you reccomend?

I'm new to the cam scene. What doesn those numbers stand for? I am thinkg of getting new cams for my car and I am probably going with Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cams and springs. I want to get an aggressive cam but does that hurt drivability?

ill use the cam that are goin into my car as an example to explain

i will be running VT stage 2 NA cams

the specs are .560x.570'' lift 225/235 deg. duration 108 deg. lobe seperation

.560'' is valve lift on the intake valve
.570'' is the valve lift on the exhaust valve
225 deg is how many degrees the cam turns while the intake valve is open
235 deg is how many degrees the cam turns while the exhaust valve is open
108 deg its the lobe seperation angle

a higher lift cam needs upgraded valve springs...personally anything with over .500'' lift i would upgrade springs....a more agressive cam will also make the car idle choppier (lope) but my also need a tune to fix some drivability stalling issues....

also on a side note...im not sure that VT makes a NPI cam so u should definatly double check with scott or jim b4 i just go and order VT cams for ur
NPI car...scott and jim are 2 of the best guys in the industry to deal with...they arent just out to get ur money...they care about their customers and will do whatever they can to help them out...i recommend them 100%...if ur gonna go the comp cam route be sure to speak with Dennis Miles...

Thanks for the awsome reply! If I go with comp cams stree/strip that is .550 242/246 114deg is that going to be too agressive for my setup? I'm going to swap the intake and get a higher stall conv. also.

if ur gonna go with comp i would go with the hot street grind....550x.550 lift 234/238 duration 113 lobe seperation....a lot of guys run those with great success...they were actually in my car for a short stint but then i changed to blower cams and now im back to na 242/246 is too much duration IMHO
