4.6 stroker kit to 5.o

I have a 97gt convertible automatic I P head on it. I run 14.1 in 1/4 My hp is 222hp tq256. I don't think the guy knows how to run the dyno real good! What i want to know. Do stroker kit add good power like 40 to 50 hp. I see a kit for $2000. A 5.1 kit a 3.625 bore and a 3.750 stroke crankshaft from Coast High Performance. do they do good work?

i have heard nuthin but good things about coast high performances products. the stroker kit would be something oriented toward giving your car more lowe end torque...depending on the modifications your car has you could very well see about 40 to 50 hp if not more...50 mustang and superfords did a few tests with them underboost and they made real impressive power

A stroker kit alone is not gonna add 50 rwhp. You need supporting modifications (ie blower or ported heads/intake, etc) to make that thing work. Waste of money unless you have plans to do some head/intake work or add a blower.

Btw, I have a stroker in my car.

You don't need a stroker for 300 rwhp. Ported heads, cams, one of the plenum/tb combos, exhaust, and a good tune and voila, your there. No reason to go into the bottom end.

I have everthing but a good tune. The Diablo chip did not help at all! 222hp 256tq not good!

dude if u got 4800 dollars in those heads.....and your a/f is 15:1 at 5500rpm you would still make more than that bud .....sorry but i dont think u got that in those heads, and if u had that kinda money in those wouldnt u wanna strap it on a dyno and make sure it works. I dont know but if i was to spend 4800 dollars on heads i would get a it tuned for 500 .....not too much is it...or call KenB
