4.6l ignition advice

my friend has a 97 mustang gt.he wants to put a msd ignition and the only ones that seem available are the stacker 8 and the digital dis 4.anybody have any experience with either??also we are in california and the stacker 8 says is obd 2 legal so hes leaning towards that one.he doesnt want any problems here in california thers a lot of laws also any experience with msd's coils???any inputs would be appreciated.

The stacker 8 is for the distributorless ignitions on the 99s up. His car has two coil packs, one for each bank. Maybe try some screamin demon coil packs. Those with some low Impedance plug wires(I like Jacobs Electronics for ignition when possible). For plugs I would go with NGK TR6 coppercore. Hope this helps.
