O.K. i have finally got away from those 5.0l mustangs and bought a 4.6l. I need a list of the most bang for the buck mods so I know where to start. I already have a upr big mouth filter and I will be adding a mac pro chamber. What should I do next? Is there a way to delete the egr valve? Thanks, Brian.

If you ask me:
Long tubes, gears (at least 3.73), mid-pipe, and tuners are all pretty good mods.

Upper plenum/throttle body won't do much for you until you get some sort of power adder, or freer breathing heads.

Also, a set of cams would add some nice power, but they can be rather expensive for the resulting power.

4.6 power :SNSign: What year car do you have? If you have a 96-98, a pi intake/head swap will net you some serious horsepower for $1000-$1500.

i wouldve stayed with the 5.0. faster, easier, cheaper.

btw theres no gain from a egr delete, just leave it alone.

id just get the normal gears and boltons unless you ever plan on going FI.

gears, LTs, cams, shifter, midpipe, catback of choice, suspension mods.

Other than that, keep saving for a blower or nitrous unless you like spending mucho money for little gains.

The car is a 2004 gt. I'm thinking of a zex wet kit for the future.

Are the claims of horsepower gains from the cam swap true? Some of these cam's are claiming upwards of 100 hp.

You won't get 100hp from a cam swap alone. Since you're planning on nitrous in the future, I'd get some VT stage 2 cams, and upgrade your valve springs.

no. you wont even get that out of Stage 2 heads and cams in a nutshell, our 2Vs dont gain much unless you add a blower or nitrous.

cams are good for ~25rwhp.
